Emotion through music

I know a lot of us use music to speak when our mouths won't move. My girlfriend and I are on a break, we're navigating a lot of stuff. We both feel like we should be doing it alone, maybe because that is what life taught us to do. That's okay, sometimes people have to do that so they can just work through things. It weighs on you. So we use subtle hints, little clues. We hope if we just send a song to one person they'll listen to the lyrics and not the beat. We hope they will reach out, check-in on us, make sure we aren't drowning. Sometimes we get scared, they ask and we lie...then we send them another song. Sometimes we don't want to talk. We just want presence, someone there so it doesn't hurt so much.

My girlfriend sent me a song today, I'll link it here in this post. It's called Bloodline, as soon as she sent it. I loaded up PipePipe (the opensource community knows) and hit play. It was a great tune, I will admit that. The words is what got me. Where you come from is not who you are, it's okay to move forward, you don't have to do it alone...
