It's been about a week, I'm back at the house now. All things said and done I am focusing a majority of my time on FolioEngine now. I'm hoping to have the application launched in eight weeks. What will I do after FolioEngine is shipped? I'll work on an Learning Management System(LMS). I'm hoping for GradePoint and the LMS to be under one subsidiary. Just all of my EdTech software. FolioEngine will be it's own seperate entity paired with various other software that is similar. The developmetn will start tomorrow, what will happen tonight? I'm going to build another pc. Just got a new case so I am getting some old parts out.
Enough about FolioEngine, what about the LMS? What will the LMS consist of? And is it self-paced? Yes and yes. The LMS will be for basically everyone. The MVP at it's core for the beta launch will be focused on: history, math, science, and english literature. The LMS will always be in active development. I'll try to add courses every 4-6 weeks. We'll start off with the basics, how modules will be. I don't know if I want to add any videos or not yet. We first focus on FolioEngine then cross that bridge when we get there.
Music playing, just going to chill for the night. I do want to talk about a few cool things I found being away from my keyboard. I found out about Neocities.org. Just a weird little space of the interent where people host static webpages that give the good 'ol "Wild West" web 2.0 era vibes. I mean honestly, this is great! I may have to set one up now!
Another thing I really want to add to tonight's post. We have four months until 2026 comes to an end...only four months. Now this year has been something else. It has shown me a lot about myself I was very afraid of seeing. It got me thinking though. DId I want to keep bouncing from job to job, wasting the potential I have as a developer? No, I didn't. Did I want to lose a relationship that I have always wanted? No, I didn't. Did I want to move back into my parents house? No, I didn't. It happened though...and I spent months being sad about it. I have always been very afraid of change. SO much so I try to prevent change. You know what being a founder has taught me? Change is necessary, change turns you into the person you are meant to be.
By the end of 2026 I want to own a HoldCo and at least two subsidiaries. I want to build a future for myself. Rekindle my life. Now I know what a lot of people are going to say. Hope is all we have, hope keeps everyone going. Even when they think they have lost hope. I see very polished lifestyles in social media all the time. They never post the struggles they are going through, social media makes ourselves feel worse than we already do because all we see if the life we want to live. We are not seeing the life we live now. Yes, there are bad moments. There is still plenty of good.
We have to live in the present, try our best to be who we want to be. That's all that matters in the end. My last few post on Instagram have been the same thing. The only goal I have for the next few years...buy some land, buy a prefab-warehouse, turn it into a home. It's all I want to do, I will be happy about that. I will strive to do that. In the end we all take risk, we jump blindly into things. Even if we are trying to be cautious. What do you want to do in your life? Be comfortable? Or do you want to risk it all for a chance at greatness?
When I first started my journey as a founder I had absolutely no idea how hard this was going to be. Every day I am getting more into a groove of how I want to operate. It has tested my morals, it has tested how I view myself. Most importantly...it has tested how I even think about the future. I mean everyone has plans/dreams, do you know why most don't succeed? They don't take that first step. That's what we need more of. People taking that first step.
